Biography

Anne Egeler has been a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Washington State since 2020. She specializes in appellate work before the Washington Court of Appeals, Washington Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to joining the prosecutor's office, Anne was a Deputy Solicitor General with the Washington Attorney General's Office, where she argued a wide range of cases in state and federal courts, including state and federal constitutional challenges, criminal justice, tax law, education, and civil commitment. 
 
In 2014, the National Association of Attorneys General awarded Anne a Supreme Court Fellowship, to study United States Supreme Court practice and author multi-state amicus briefs. Anne is a past-president of Thurston County Volunteer Legal Services and member of Washington Women Lawyer's Capital Chapter. In 2017, the Washington State Bar Association named Anne a Local Hero for her years of volunteer work. Anne is a graduate of the University of Washington and Seattle University School of Law.
