Profile

Alexa Weinstein is a nonfiction writer, freelance academic editor, and writing teacher. She holds an MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills College in Oakland, CA and has lived in Portland since 2001. Before coming to UO, she worked with graduate student writers at Marylhurst University. As a freelance editor, she specializes in helping working academics publish their research. She also facilitates writing workshops with Write Around Portland. She is currently finishing her first book: an essay collection about finding a place in language where you can speak from all your parts.
