Biography

Dr. Deni Basaraba is currently an adjunct professor in the Educational Leadership department and the data analyst for the Bethel School District. Her experience as an adjunct professor has included teaching the following courses: Professional Writing, Advanced Research Writing, Human Subjects Protection, and Evidence-Based Decision Making. As data analyst for the Bethel School District she is responsible for management and analysis of all student data, survey and observation tool development, grant writing, and research. Dr. Basaraba also has research appointments with the Behavioral Research & Teaching and Center on Teaching & Learning units within the College of Education at the University of Oregon

Prior to her position in the Bethel School District, Dr. Basaraba was an assessment coordinator and project manager for the Research in Mathematics Education unit at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX. In this role, she oversaw and lead the development of multiple mathematics universal screening and diagnostic assessments for Grades PreKindergarten-8 and conducted analyses using data generated from these assessments. Before working for SMU, Dr. Basaraba was a research assistant with the Center on Teaching & Learning where she worked on multiple federally-funded intervention development grants, one large-scale technical assistance grant, and developed professional development materials.
