Statement

Dr. Leanne Giordono’s research interests are focused on public policy decisions – how policy changes arise and how such changes impact individuals, families and communities – especially in the face of global economic and climatic shifts. She offers a unique combination of expertise in both social policy and environmental policy, as well as a strong scholarly research record, teaching experience, and almost 15 years of pre-PhD professional background in applied research for government agencies and non-profit organizations. Dr. Giordono received her PhD in Public Policy from Oregon State University’s School of Public Policy in Fall 2018, funded by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. She also holds an MPA from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. She served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Oregon State University’s College of Health and Human Sciences from 2018-2021.
