Biography

Dr. May is Assistant Director of Operations at the University of Oregon’s Center for Translational Neuroscience. Prior to her current role, her research focused on mindfulness, meditation, and the brain chemistry by which psychology impacts pain perception. She received her PhD in social neuroscience from the University of Oregon in 2017 with Elliot Berkman. Lisa developed LabScrum in 2017, in collaboration with Center for Translational Neuroscience research scientists and with advice and mentorship from Tamara Runyon, CST.  LabScrum is a process framework developed to manage work in academic scientific research and an adaptation of Scrum. Lisa is a certified Scrum Master and certified Scrum Product Owner.
