Profile

My name is Rika Ikei. This year I am teaching first and fifth year
Japanese classes at University of Oregon. As a teacher I strive to
provide a positive and effective learning environment.

Language, whether it be first or subsequent, is a lifelong endevour so
I strive to endow the skills and experience in language to make my
students independent thinkers/learners.

In my classes, I find that makeing language fun and applicable to the
student makes the language aquisition process a pleasure not a task.
Part of this process is cross cultural awareness and appreciation
which is integral to language.
