Alexis is interested in medical and psychological anthropology. Her specific research interests include the relationship between embodiment and subjectivity and the ways in which public health interventions shape the lived experience of illness and disease Her masters research focuses on gender, race, class and other aspects of identity in the social construction of the obesity epidemic.
