Research

Meagan’s  research interests include zooarchaelogy, maritime adaptations, geographic information systems, island archaeology, and migration and colonization. Past research has involved the analysis of faunal remains from the Caribbean islands, but she is also interested in looking at faunal assemblages from Pacific coastal sites. A recent project involved examining size differences in Nerita tessellata for indications of overharvesting at the Caribbean site of “Coconut Walk” in Nevis and St. Kitts, West Indies where she did fieldwork.
