Profile

The author of numerous articles on film, Latin American literature, and new media studies, he is currently working on a third book, a study of new media representations of Mexican and Mexican American history and culture. His teaching interests include 20^th & 21^st Century Latin American Literature and Cultural Studies, Mexican and Central American novel and poetry, Latin American and U.S. Latina/o Film and Visual Culture. His book of poetry Visiones en luna agreste y nitrato de plata received the Efraín Huerta National Poetry Award in Mexico.
