Statement

Dr. Joshi joined the Department of Human Physiology, University of Oregon in the Bowerman Sports Science Clinic (BSSC) and Neuromechanics Laboratory as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow on May 16, 2013. Before joining the University of Oregon, he worked on research projects at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), and Institute of Neuroscience (ION), Newcastle University, UK.

During his Ph. D at IIT Delhi (in joint collaboration with AIIMS New Delhi), he developed a contralateral control strategy for speed adaptive walking in an above-knee prosthesis and successfully implemented the design in a prototype. He has taught optoelectronics instrumentation, circuit theory and guided undergraduate projects at IIT Delhi and IIT Ropar as a teaching assistant. He is also a guest faculty at Indian Spinal Injury Centre (ISIC) in New Delhi. Dr. Joshi’s current research areas include biosignal processing, soft computing and embedded systems for prosthetics design.
