Statement

David is a PhD candidate from South Africa.  He received his B.A (Hons) in Human Movement Science specializing in Sports Science from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He continued his studies at Barry University, Miami with an M.S in Movement Science specializing in Biomechanics. He completed his masters thesis entitled ‘The Effect of Altering Foot Strike Pattern on 5000m Running Performance’. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.

The focus of his research at U of O is upper extremity biomechanics. He has taught HPHY 381 Biomechanics (Lab Instructor) and assisted in HPHY 212 Evidence, Inference and Biostatics.

His interests include running, mountain biking, hiking, squash, watching rugby and reading.
