Statement

Jim is in the 1st year of his PhD program and is originally from Orem, UT.  He has already received his B.S. in Exercise Science from BYU in 2000 and his M.S. in Kinesiology from CSU Fullerton in 2011.  He has worked on the effect of ambient temperature on 5,000 meter performance.  The focus of his research is the effects of PFO on core temperature during exercise.  He currently teaches HPHY 322 Lab.  He has done a presentation at 2011 National ACSM Meeting – The Effect of Ambient Temperature on Thermoregulation, Perceptual Responses and Performance of a 5,000-m Run.  He plans on becoming a professor and loves running, BYU athletics and being in the outdoors.
