Statement

Jake is a first year doctoral student who works in the Bowerman Sports Science Clinic after receiving a MS degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He has worked as a sports performance and a basketball coach, in addition to doing research involving neuromuscular control of jump landings and regulation of appetite after exercise. The aim of his current research is to gain a greater understanding of neural control of prosthetic feet, and to develop these prostheses to be more efficient during locomotion. He also a huge sports fan, and particularly likes to play, watch, and coach basketball.
