Linda is a new G.E. joining the Department of German to pursue a MA and PhD in German Literature and Language.
After a combined Bachelor in Literary Studies and History, she just completed her Linguistics MA at the University of Dortmund. Linda did an ERASMUS exchange at the University of Leeds and studied American Studies at the University of Iowa where she gathered her first experience as a German instructor. During the past year, she also worked as a language tutor for immigrants and refugees.
Her research interests are generally interdisciplinary, like political activism and criticism in German song lyrics, ideologies in war narratives and social novels, or symbolism in good old romantic poetry.
In her free time, Linda enjoys writing, hiking, and getting lost in places she’s been to before.
