I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Oregon; my dissertation quantitatively explores the effect of segregation patterns on racial attitudes. For my Master’s paper, I examined the effects of a race-neutral policy--Regulatory Flexibility Act-- on minority businesses. In 2012-2013, I was a research assistant for the University of Oregon Labor Education Research Center where I helped gather information on statutes regarding the privatization of education and replicated social science inequality data. I have conducted program assessments for a local micro-development course in Eugene, Oregon. I also served as a graduate teaching fellow at the UO Ethnic Studies department for three years and the Sociology department for five years.
