Profile

Maddie Saxton completed her BA in German with a minor in Philosophy at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 2014. She is in the first year of the MA program at University of Oregon.

Her interests include late 19th and early 20th century authors and philosophers such as Nietzsche, Hofmannstahl, Kafka, as well as Central and Eastern European literature of the same period. She's also interested in linguistics and translation. Maddie taught English for one year in Moscow, Russia and a second year in Ta'bor, Czech Republic. In her free time she enjoys going for walks, drinking tea, reading, hiking, climbing, and karaoke.
