Statement

I was born in Lebanon, NH and grew up in Swanzey, NH. I served six years in the United States Marine Corps before attending college. My freshman year was at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. I transferred to Dartmouth College where I completed a B.A. in Linguistics.

At Dartmouth I started sociolinguistic projects on NH dialectology and language and gender research. These projects are ongoing in various phases. I spent August 2014 - July 2015 in Burkina Faso working on a barely documented language called Viemõ. I am planning to publish a reference grammar and a dictionary on this language.

I started at the University of Oregon in the fall of 2015 in the Theortical Linguistics PhD program.
