My name is Renee Marshall and I am a 2nd-year Master's student in the Romance Languages Department. I speak French and Spanish and a little German. I also love watching Korean dramas.

I earned my B.A. from UC Santa Barbara in 2008 in French and Spanish. After that I worked at Bank of America Home Loans. In 2010, I returned to UC Santa Barbara and earned my California teaching credential in French and Spanish along with my Master's in Education. My thesis was entitled: What are tests assessing? It explored the role of assessment in language classes, focusing on context-based learning activities and how educators assess those context-based learning activities.

In 2011 I began teaching at Inspire School of Arts and Sciences, a charter high school in Chico, CA. I taught 1st and 2nd year French in addtion to independent study French 4 and Spanish 3.

In 2012 I began the Master's program in French here at UO. In Spring 2013 I added Spanish as my minor language and became a Romance Languages M.A. student. I will graduate this spring 2014. Go Ducks!
