Andrew is an interdisciplinary scholar who uses historical and ethnographic methods to research film festivals and arts funding. His dissertation is a social history of the San Francisco Transgender Film Festival (1997-present).
International Experience
Andrew lived outside of the US between 2009-2015, working, volunteering, and studying in Denmark, Singapore, and Australia. He is a guest curator for Translations: Seattle Transgender Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, and is co-founder of Oregon's first trans and genderqueer film festival (www.rewirefilmfestival.com).
