MFA, Design, Stanford University, 2015
BS, Fiber Science and Apparel Design, Cornell University, 2010

Beth Esponnette is an assistant professor in the Product Design Program. Through her startup, unspun, she develops new additive manufacturing techniques in textiles and apparel. She believes that new manufacturing methods not only allow for savings in cost, materials, labor abuse, energy use, and time, but also for new performance possibilities for the products themselves. She also researches optimized human-exoskeleton interfaces and generative parametric design in soft goods. Beth brings industry experience from Mountain Hardwear, Ekso Bionics, Pearl Izumi, TechShop, and the Exploratorium. She received a BS degree in Fiber Science and Apparel Design from Cornell University and an MFA degree in Design from Stanford University.
