Biography

Hi!

My name's Eli, and I work in the Roering lab investigating landslide hazard mitigation in Sitka, AK. My primary interest is Geomorphology, and my approach to it is fueled by a desire to learn more about hazard susceptibility. Whether it pertains to rivers, hillslopes, or even volcanoes, I'm always curious about what causes a given landscape response, and if there is a way to predict it in the future.

Outside of the lab, you'll likely find me cycling, running, or playing music. Fun fact: I make a mean (read: mediocre) latte.
