Research

HaBeom is doctoral student in Archaeology.He is interested in the study of early societies in East Asia – including China, Japan, and Korea, and particularly in the dynamics of human-environment relationships in the region’s past. Topics such as paleoethnobotanical research, foodways of complex hunter-gatherers, the origins of agriculture in East Asia, and the sociopolitical contexts of East Asian archaeology are also his interests as well. In the past, he has participated in field excavations in California, China, and Japan.
