Profile

James Reinmuth is a professor emerit at the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business. He joined the university's business faculty in 1967 as an assistant professor. He served as dean of the Lundquist College of Business from 1976-1994, and as vice president for academic affairs and vice president for advancement in interim capacities for the University of Oregon. He has held visiting teaching appointments at universities in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, France, Hong Kong, and China.

Reinmuth has written and published more than 40 articles on business planning and analysis, and is the coauthor of the textbook Statistics for Management and Economics. In 1975, he was awarded the University of Oregon's Ersted Award for distinguished teaching. After leaving the dean position in 1994, Reinmuth was named the Lundquist Distinguished Professor of Business.

Throughout his career, Reinmuth has worked both as a consultant and a business owner. He has served on corporate boards in the United States and Asia. He is also an active consultant to universities on capital campaign planning and implementation. He served as the interim president and CEO of the Oregon State University Foundation in 2003-2004. He also served as the program director of the MBA program at St. Georges University in Grenada, and is a development consultant to the University of Oregon and other universities. He is active as a partner with the Matrix Group and is the owner of Mandarin Pacific, LLC, a China-based import/export company.
