Kristen’s current research involves families and how they make television mediation choices in the home. She investigates how day-to-day living impacts the way television is used, particularly compared to how scholars quantify mediation styles. Before graduate school, Kristen was an Event Manager at the Civic Theatre in San Diego, Senior Supervising Producer at Filmateria Studios in Seattle and a freelancer in the production industry in Seattle, working on feature films as well and the first Independent Media Center during the WTO.
