My research tries to develop the discussion about the baroque in different moments and contexts paying special attention in Latin American essayistic in the 20th century. My main interest focus on José Lezama Lima’s poetic system about history, culture and baroque in his essayistic work and how other authors read Lezama’s poetic system to build concepts like neo-baroque or neobarroso in order to create new insights into modernity and post-modernity.
