Matt George Moore (Matty) is copywriter and managing editor of academic initiatives for the School of Law’s communications team. He brings to Oregon Law more than two decades of experience across a wide range of media and content marketing specialties. He’s written for and edited newspapers, designed page layouts for both print and digital products, led a team of advertising sales creatives, produced marketing collateral as senior content writer for a digital marketing agency, and copy edited The Oregonian’s Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial board. He’s also experienced in branded content, search engine optimization, web publishing, and project management, helping him engage with and retain diverse audiences. Matty also volunteers as an editor and media consultant for a nonprofit, The Immigrant Story, and has recently edited a book for that organization titled “I Lived To Tell The World” that will be released in the spring of 2024.
Matty's responsibilities include website content management, prospective student marketing, faculty scholarship feature stories, and law school Program and Center marketing. A native Floridian and a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, Matty moved to Portland in 2006 and to Eugene in 2024.
