Statement

Matt Ely completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology at James Madison University. He gained two years of clinical research experience at the Harvard Medical School working with NIH and pharmaceutical sponsored protocols investigating asthma and exercise induced asthma. For the past seven years he was involved with research for the United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) with main foci in nutrition, thermoregulation, and endurance performances. Matt is a third year doctorate student in Dr. Halliwill’s Exercise and Environmental Physiology lab with a focus on cardiovascular control during and post-exercise.
