Biography

Roger Busse is the James F. and Shirley J. Rippey Professor of Practice at the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business. He is passionate about education and teaching, and is an expert in credit, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, leadership, and teambuilding.

Busse is the former president and CEO of Pacific Continental Bank, a role he held until 2017, when the bank was acquired by Columbia Bank. He joined Pacific Continental in 2003 after a 25-year career with U.S. Bank. Busse was inducted into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame in 2018.

After graduating from Reed College in Portland, Busse earned his master's degree from Harvard University, where he also graduated from the Harvard/MIT executive negotiation curriculum.
