Younsong worked as a Teaching & Administrative assistant in the School of Communication and French Culture Department at Sogang University for 2 years, and is the founder and supervisor of traditional Korean drumming in the School of Humanities and International Cultures at Sogang. He has studied abroad in France, and spent a year at the University of Texas Arlington studying English. He is interested in understanding and analyzing (video) games, gaming subject and online game culture in the lens of critical theory and cultural studies. His master’s thesis traced the formation process of the capitalist rule constructed by Korean WOW (World of Warcraft) gamers and analyzed how this social structure maintains homeostasis based on Slavoj Žižek’s theory of ideology.
