Statement

Jun Lang is a Ph.D. student specializing in Chinese Linguistics. Her research interests include language and gender, cognitive linguistics, second language acquisition, and sociolinguistics. Her recent work explores how Chinese online neologisms reflect social realities and social changes. She works as a Teaching Assistant for both content and Chinese language courses at all levels and Chinese Flagship Program courses at the University of Oregon. She also works as a Research Assistant conducting linguistic research as well as curriculum development for individualized learning.

Prior to joining the doctoral program, she taught at the University of Richmond, U.S. Naval Academy Chinese summer program, University of Wisconsin-Madison Chinese summer program, and China Studies Institute at Peking University.
