Research

My educational and research experience thus far has been in the following areas: instructional and assessment supports for English Learners, assessment and survey development and validation, literacy and mathematics intervention development, instructional and curricular design, and using various sources of student performance data to make informed instructional decisions at multiple levels of the school system (e.g., individual students, groups of students, classrooms, grades, schools). I am particularly interested in investigating factors that may influence the performance of English Learners, including bilingual programs, the role of language proficiency in disciplinary learning, and assessment and curricular supports.
